How we approach estate work
Every engagement at veridianud follows the same underlying structure, regardless of complexity. We begin with the client's situation, not with a template. We document as we go. We close with a handover that leaves the client — and their executor — with a clear, usable record.
Initial discussion
We begin by understanding the client's actual circumstances — family, assets, concerns, and any existing documents — before any advice is offered.
Preparation and review
Documents are prepared and reviewed with the client before execution. No document leaves the bureau without the client having understood and confirmed its contents.
Execution and progress
Where work involves multiple stages — court filings, institution correspondence, distribution — each stage is tracked and confirmed in writing to the client.
Handover and close
Each engagement closes with a meeting and a written summary the client can retain for future reference and share with the executor when the time comes.
Engagement One
Will Drafting and Personal Estate Advisory
RM 700
A considered engagement for individuals and couples who want to put their affairs in order through a properly drafted will and a clear set of supporting arrangements. The conversation begins with the client's own circumstances: family, dependants, assets across Malaysia and abroad, and any specific concerns they wish to address.
From there, the team prepares the will, advises on guardianship and trustee considerations, and reviews any related documents such as nominations on retirement and insurance arrangements. The engagement closes with a quiet handover meeting, a clean signed copy for the client's safekeeping, and a written summary the client can share with the executor when the time comes.
What is included
- Initial advisory discussion to understand your full circumstances
- Preparation of a properly executed will under Malaysian law
- Guidance on guardian and trustee selection and responsibilities
- Review of EPF and insurance nominations for alignment with the will
- Handover meeting with executor summary document
- Follow-up availability for questions after completion
Process overview
Typical timeline: 2–4 weeks from initial meeting to completion
Process overview
Typical timeline: 4–12 months depending on estate complexity
Engagement Two
Probate, Letters of Administration, and Estate Distribution
RM 1,300
A measured engagement for executors and family members handling the estate of someone who has passed away. The work walks the client through the steps in the order in which they need to be taken — establishing entitlement, applying for grant of probate or letters of administration, assembling the asset and liability schedule, and managing distribution in line with the will or relevant intestacy framework.
The team handles the procedural correspondence calmly, so the client can focus on the family rather than the paperwork. Where coordination with banks, land authorities, and the EPF is required, that is arranged on the client's behalf with regular written updates.
What is included
- Application for probate or letters of administration
- Full asset and liability schedule preparation
- Direct correspondence with banks, land authority, and EPF
- Estate distribution management in line with entitlement
- Regular written progress updates throughout
- Final written record of distribution for the family
Engagement Three
Comprehensive Estate Planning and Family Wealth Programme
RM 2,100
A more substantial engagement for clients with multi-generational interests, business holdings, or assets held across borders. The programme covers preparation of the will, structuring of family trusts where appropriate, coordination with insurance and pension nominations, considered guidance on lifetime gifting, and a clear written record for the family of how the structure fits together.
Where the client has interests in operating businesses, the engagement also looks at succession planning for ownership and management. Reviews are scheduled annually so that arrangements remain aligned with the family's situation. The aim is for the client to feel that the future is held thoughtfully without dwelling on it day-to-day.
What is included
- Will preparation and coordination of all estate instruments
- Family trust structuring guidance where appropriate
- Insurance, pension, and EPF nomination coordination
- Lifetime gifting guidance where applicable
- Business succession planning for ownership and management
- Written family structure record for future reference
- Annual review meetings to keep arrangements current
Process overview
Typical initial timeline: 4–8 weeks; annual reviews thereafter

Across All Engagements
Standards that apply to every engagement
Client confidentiality
Information shared during any engagement is held in strict confidence and used only to carry out the work the client has instructed.
Fixed, stated fees
Every engagement is priced at a fixed fee stated before work begins. The fee covers the scope set out at the outset; there are no additions without the client's knowledge and agreement.
Written records as standard
Every engagement produces written records of decisions and progress. These are provided to the client, not held internally only.
Malaysian legal framework
All work is grounded in current Malaysian statute and practice, with any cross-border dimensions acknowledged and factored in appropriately.
Consistent advisory contact
Clients work with the same advisor throughout each engagement — from the initial discussion to the handover meeting.
No artificial urgency
Estate planning deserves considered thought. We do not apply pressure and we allow engagements to proceed at a pace that suits the client.
Ready to proceed, or simply curious
We are glad to speak at any point in your thinking.
Not sure which engagement fits your situation? A brief conversation is usually enough to identify the right starting point. There is no obligation to proceed after that discussion.
